We are looking for a QA Director that will be responsible for the technical quality of the games and services developed in the studio. You will also be responsible for leading and developing the QA craft in the studio and coordinating the external QA work on the studio level. You will also be Supervisor for a team of 5-8 QA Leads with responsibility for mentoring and supporting the team members in their professional growth.
You will have impact and fun at work by doing:
- You will be responsible for the technical quality of the games and services developed within the studio
- You will take care of the development and supervision of the QA craft and QA Leads in the studio
- Mentoring all QA team members
- You will be a key part in helping the game teams achieve quality targets
- Inspires others to do their best and works actively to achieve organisational goals
- Ensures guidelines and agreed processes are followed
- Responsible for coordination of the external QA work on the studio level
- Communicates and shares information with Rovio internal teams as needed
- Communicates with 3rd party QA solution providers
- Improves processes, tools and teamwork
Experience and skills we are looking for:
- Proven QA leadership experience in a supervisor role and in QA leadership role
- QA experience leading to mastery of relevant disciplines
- Proven commercial game QA background
- Proficient with defect management tools, test management tools, crash / error logs and reporting tools, test automation tools for mobile platforms, configuration and content management tools (AB testing etc) and mobile store portals
- Experience with version control, CI and game development tools
- Excellent communication with internal and external teams
- Good understanding of mobile platforms and hardware, configuration of data structures and formats (JSON etc)
- Good understanding of Data Analytics and making decisions by looking at Data
- Good understanding of the F2P game business
- Interest in people and team management
- Ability to think strategically
Interview process:
- First meeting: You will have a quick call with our TA partner to understand what motivates you and what you are looking for as the next step
- Second meeting: You will meet the Hiring Manager. We will be diving deeper into your skills and will also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role
- Skills deep dive: You will meet some of the QA team members for a Behavioural interview focused on your experience
- Final round: You will have a conversation with the Leadership team in the Studio to dive deeper into how you manage and drive processes and how you could add to the studio Leadership team.
